Hardwood floors on the main floor, soft pine floors in the upstairs, and stamped concrete with in- floor heat in the lower level were installed for low maintenance and comfort. In addition to the in-floor heat in the lower level enjoy roaring wood fires in a custom built stone fireplace on the main floor and electric heat in the two upstairs bedrooms. There is a bathroom on all three levels-- full bath in the lower level, half bath on the main floor, and shower bath off the two bedrooms upstairs. Grid in double pane windows are abundant throughout this elegant log cabin offering excellent views of the surrounding woodlands and lake. This spectacular log cabin is enhanced by the uniqueness of the covered balcony just off the master bedroom . Even the birds have a home here. The lower level provides a spacious roomy area with two sets of double French doors opening up to an elegant sunroom with floor to ceiling Anderson windows that are all E-glass and accentuated by hand trimmed logs , ceramic floors, stone wall with pine trim. This sunroom is situated 10 degrees west of south for maximum solar gain. the tile floors and rock walls retainthe heat and make it a perfect place to grow things year round. Beautiful accoutrements include elegant track lights and fixtures that provide ample lighting. The property has been landscaped and a asphalt circle drive circumnavigates the cabin for access to both the lower and main level of this classic log cabin. There is ample room for storing a boat or constructing a garage. The cabin is surrounded by an oak forest providing a very private setting with magnificent views. The cabin is 2 miles from a myriad of quiet backwater sloughs, channels, sandbars, lily pad fields, and huge maple forests of the Upper Mississippi Fish & wildlife refuge, a vast recreational resource.
