A private peninsula featuring 2.15 acres of northern forest with 1205 feet of shoreline. The former loggers-cabin rests at the water’s edge, a picturesque bunk house sits further down the shoreline, right on the lake. The cabin is lit by propane lamps and a hearty wood-burning stove warms it up to comfortable temperatures during the cooler days of the year. A path through beautiful woods connects the cabin to the bunk house. Far from sound and light pollution, this is a great spot for star-gazing and the aurora borealis. The lake is ideal for fishing, canoeing, swimming, and finding your inherent nature among sights and sounds of birds and animals. This was the first cabin built on Elbow Lake by loggers in 1920’s hence its proximity to the water’s edge (and also that of its bunk house.) This is rare with today’s set-back rules.
