Therefore, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the duplex units and in any common areas. This policy applies to all forms of smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and electronic smoking devices such as e-cigarettes and vape pens. Tenants and their guests are required to smoke only in designated outdoor areas that are located a reasonable distance from the property to ensure that smoke does not enter the units. It is the responsibility of the tenants to ensure that smoking waste is properly disposed of in appropriate receptacles and not littered on the property. Violation of the smoking policy will result in penalties, including but not limited to cleaning fees, fines, and possible termination of the lease agreement. Any damages caused by smoking, such as burns, stains, or odors, will be the tenant's responsibility and will be deducted from the security deposit or billed to the tenant. Excessive barking, aggressive behavior, or any disturbance cause by the pet may result in the pet being removed from the property. Pets must be kept on a lease at all times when outside the unit.
