Rohnert Park was a planned community with each letter representing a new community with a planned park and sometimes a community pool. Rohnert Park features lots of mature trees and a four year university, Sonoma State University. The park here is Colegio Vista and houses an alternative high school, a preschool, ahead start program. The park has play equipment and ball fields. There are park sidewalks from the houses to access the park and to access the creek walk where you can bike or walk to the high school or college. There are mallard ducks and cranes in the creek. People exercise there and walk their dogs. You can also reach the community center from there, which houses a performing arts center and a sports center. There are at least four public swimming pools in R.P.
