We're renting out a single furnished bedroom in a shared apartment with a common kitchen and bathroom. The room includes a dresser and mattress, but you're welcome to bring your own furniture if you prefer. The entire apartment has been freshly updated and well maintained by the property owner, and the room for rent recently had the carpets shampooed and deep cleaned. The room is move-in ready. The two closed doors in the kitchen lead to our offices and bedroom. The apartment includes a fully functional, well-maintained washer and dryer. Hot water, heat, internet, and electricity are all included with the monthly rent. We also cover common household consumables such as toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. The apartment is on the top floor of a three-story building and is very secure, with two pin-pad secured entry doors and exterior CCTV. We have great relationships with the neighbors, and the building is very quiet. There are no loud tenants, no smokers, and no drama in the building. That's something we actively work to maintain. We're a couple who have been together since early 2020. We're both in our 20s, very work- and school-focused, and work blue-collar jobs while investing in rental properties in the Biddeford area. When we're home, we're usually studying in our offices, working on our business, or playing games together. We work Monday through Friday, go to bed around 8:00 PM, and wake up around 4:00 AM. Quiet hours are something we value both to ourselves as well as our neighbors and roommates. We don't invite guests over and intentionally keep the apartment calm and low-key, and we ask that those same vibes are reciprocated. We are only accepting one individual, no couples. Cleaning is a shared duty, and we communicate and stagger cleaning schedules to keep the apartment in top shape. We're very clean, and if someone asked us to be even more attentive to the space, we'd honestly treat that like a personal challenge. From experience, we've learned that communication and respecting boundaries is what makes long-term roommate situations actually work. We're looking for a new roommate because our previous roommate, who lived with us for 33 months, recently moved out on good terms. We've had several roommates over the years and know what works and what doesn't. We're hoping to find someone long-term who is punctual, quiet, and as clean as we are. The lease is month-to-month, and either side can end the roommate tenancy with a written 30-day notice. We're LGBTQ-friendly and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, including gender, sexuality, immigration status, or race. Animals of any kind unfortunately aren't allowed, as one of us is extremely allergic to pet dander. If you smoke cigarettes or do not wash your hands after using the bathroom, please do not apply. There is plenty of on street parking surrounding the building. Because we get a lot of spam, a single small message asking a small plain question won't be considered. If you're interested, send a short message about yourself, why you're looking for a room, and any questions you have. The more detail, the better. Feel free to drill me with any inquiries you may have yourself! I drive a lot so I am happy to chat anytime on the phone. If that goes well, lets have a Zoom call and get to know one another better. If you want, I can send you a one minute video that shows a 1st person walkthrough of the apartment to help connect the dots together between the pictures. Rent is $825 per month, with a $825 security deposit due prior to move-in. The current Tenant (not you) is responsible for utilities and common household consumables, including but not limited to toilet paper, trash bags, and similar shared items. Tenancy is month-to-month. Either party may terminate the tenancy with a minimum of 30 days' written notice. You must be able to pass a credit check, background check, and be a nonsmoker.
