These are three small dry off-grid bunkhouse cabins I built, sitting on 5 town lots in the small western ghost town of Shaniko, Oregon. The buildings are in varying states of completion and each still has some work to be done. City water is across the road and can be installed through communication with the city, and electricity hook-ups are also available, if desired.
The first cabin is most complete and has a loft over the "kitchen area" that can be used for sleeping, with a peak window that allows waking up to a view of the valley beyond the historic wool barn.
The cabins on the right and left are 16x20 and the one in the middle is 12x12, and was designed for a young person to enjoy. I built it for my daughter, and it has a small loft on the door side of the building. It needs a little more insulation added, and interior siding.
The third cabin (far right when looking at the picture) is only the framed structure and needs insulation and interior siding. I had planned on installing a window on the backside but wasn't able to get to it, though the window is in the cabin and could easily be installed.
All the buildings are water-tight, but do have a little roof-work to be done, such as eves.
This is a very unique opportunity to buy land centered in the historic district of the town of Shaniko. Properties like this one do not come along very often, and it is uniquely situated mid-way between the historic hotel and wool barn. It is an ideal set-up for airb&b, as well as accommodating campers and other visitors.
The Sheep Wagon (red and white) does not convey, but the Chuck Wagon could be negotiated and could be an excellent attraction for guests when having breakfast or dinner at the property.

What the owner loves about this home
Shaniko, Oregon is a real historic old west town that has been declared a ghost town. Today all the buildings are authentically historic and create an amazing aesthetic for those who love the old west. The town is anchored by the beautiful Shaniko Hotel, and the famous Shaniko Wool Barn that attracts visitors and photographers by the multitudes every year. Shaniko is an amazing and ideal place to get away, see the stars, and bask in the "days-of-old".
