From the diary of an old cow poke: A man's got the right to be choosy about where he's going to make his home. I remember the first time Emily ( my mule) and I came over the Organ Mountains. We spotted a sweet little spot I started calling Miner's Ridge. Back then, finding a prime spot to settle down wasn't much of a problem. but still there was always something special about this place. sometimes we'd camp here fro months at a time. We'd drink in the sunsets, stare up at the stars and couldn't wait for the next sunrise. Fresh air an elbow room. that's what we were looking for. Over the years, things have grown up around here. It's become pretty nice place to live. but I'm sure glad they saved Miner's Ridge. I just knew someday it would become home to some nice folks...just like you. Nice view wouldn't you say?
