    What's special

4br, 3ba, Western Cyprus Ranch on 8 Acres with Smoky Mtn Views It was never our intention to sell this home. The truth is i'm getting too old to take proper care of it. We live on approximately 8 acres at the foot of Chilhowee Mountain in the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains. We live 15 minutes from downtown Maryville TN, a city that has been in the top ten places to live for many years (US News and World Report). Our property is totally private with magnificent views from everywhere on the estate. In all the years we've lived here, we never stopped improving the house and landscaping to achieve what I have enjoyed tremendously. We enjoy the outdoors and our home is near such diverse outdoor activities that you'll never run out of things to do. This property is 15 minutes to the U.S. Intercoastal Waterway, by way of the Little Tennessee River. Several fully equipped Marinas are close by for the boating enthusiast. The Smoky Mountain National Forest, within hiking distance, is the country's most popular national park. Blount county Tennessee has one of the lowest costs of living in the country. Taxes on this property are less than $1000. University of Tennessee at Knoxville is within a short commuting distance. We also boast Maryville College, and Pellissippi State College as centers of academia. Its old south but you never met nicer, friendlier folks regardless of where you've been. The exterior of our home is a beautiful blend of rough cut western cedar and field stone. I am a retired chef. As we remodeled our home, I built my dream kitchen. All stainless steel appliances set ergonomically in a beautifully appointed workspace. Oak floors throughout the eastern half of the main floor all stained wood trim, Stained Pella windows, wood burning fireplace floor to 10 foot ceiling in the theatre/family room.  Office room with two walls of windows off the theatre/family room with built in book shelves. Broadband internet and WiFi throughout. Two car attached garage on the main level. Stained wood blinds fill all windows except for the dining room with the eastern view of the mountain range and sunrise, the outside patio and landscaping. Full unfinished attic with easy access. Intimate outside raised porch off the family room/theatre with a totally private view of the back half of the property and the fabulous landscaping on the eastern side. Beautifully appointed full guest bath on the main level, Master Bedroom and Bath, huge walkin closet, two guest bedrooms finish the Main level. Lower level suite, large bedroom, now used as an art studio. A 25' spotlighted art gallery/hallway seperates the fully equipped wood shop on the eastern end of the lower level from the lower garage I use as a maintainance room. Off the wood shop are Storage rooms and a subterranean room suitable for a wine cellar (maintains constant cellar temperature) it has water electric and natural drainage with a raised floor. Used for a time as a hydroponic vegtable garden. At the opposite end of the gallery a door leads you to the third garage where I maintain all my equipment for taking care of the property. There is a sealed room adjacent to this garage that was part of the original heating system (requires further explanation). A two stall horse barn with hay loft, water and electric are in place and ready for your use. I also have the right of first refusal to purchase the unoccupied 20+ acres surrounding this property. I am likely able to transfer that right with the sale of the home. All together this is a fabulous opportunity for a lifestyle change for the right person. Everything we have done here, we did with the idea of keeping this home in our family forever. We never thought that we would leave here but circumstances demand otherwise. In today's Real Estate World, this property couldn't be duplicated for anything near this price.Additional property info: http://www.forsalebyowner.com/listing/4-bed-Single-Family-home-for-sale-by-owner-4452-6-Mile-Road-378
