A separate bedroom with a queen size bed, two dressers, a desk and chair, lots of storage, and an adjacent walk-in closet with custom fitted Elfa shelving. The apartment has its own separate hot water heater it is not dependent on hot water from the rest of the house. Dimmable recessed LED lights in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Overhead light fixtures with LED bulbs in the bedroom and walk-in closet. We strive to be "green." We have solar panels on our roof to generate electricity. There is also a battery back-up system to run the refrigerator and sump pump in case of a power outage. On-street parking near the apartment is usually plentiful (tenant will need to acquire a Zone 3 residential parking permit from DC at additional expense). Three separate tenants have lived here car free. Walk Score of 77 ("Very Walkable"); Transit Score of 69 ("Good Transit"); Bike Score of 82 ("Very Bikeable"). Located within a short walk of Chevy Chase Pavilion, Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, Rodman's Discount Gourmet Market and Drug Store, CVS, Crunch Fitness, Target, Container Store, dry cleaner's, Bikram yoga studio, many banks, and other stores. A Trader Joe's will open very nearby soon. Many nearby restaurants offering fine dining and fast-food options, such as American, Chinese, French, Indian, Italian, Japanese, pizza, and Thai cuisines. Our house and apartment are both strictly non-smoking and no pets are permitted. All of our previous tenants have stayed for at least two years. The lease will be for a minimum of one year. Minimum 12 month lease. Rent includes heating, air conditioning, electricity, water, and high speed Internet service. A one month security deposit is required. No pets. No smoking.
