We have a large and sunny bedroom available for rent in a huge 3 bed 2.5 bath freestanding house (not a rowhouse) in central Petworth, a 9 minute walk to the Georgia Ave/Petworth metro. The bedroom is available for move in starting June 1 (or June 15) for a year lease. The cost is 1380 plus utilities. The house spans two levels and is huge, around 2,000 square feet, with a large sunny living room, a music area, a first floor half-bath, a bright open dining room, and a gigantic kitchen with a large island and tons of storage space. We have a large wraparound porch, a fenced in wraparound backyard, and very comfy porch furniture for sipping coffee, reading, and watching gorgeous sunsets. You would only have two other roommates so there is tons of room for us to spread out and have a mix of both privacy and social time together. The house also has a wraparound front porch and comfy cushioned porch chairs that glide. Bathroom: You would be sharing a very large bathroom (with a double vanity sink, so you'd have your own sink and huge storage cabinet) with one person. There is also a nice half bath on the first floor. The third roommate (me) has her own bathroom. Location: 2 blocks from Petworth's central street (Upshur). It is a 9 minute walk to the Georgia-Ave Petworth Greenline metro stop, 2 min walking to many bus lines, and a 3 minute walk to Buna cafe, Timber Pizza, Lulabelle's Ice cream, amazing ramen, a bookstore, a library, a gym, and more! You would be living with me, a 28-year-old friendly woman who works as a researcher at Reddit and loves music. I am pretty independent and have my own rhythms/ social circles, but I also love being warm and friendly with my roommates, plus another very friendly woman from Mexico!
