Within this magical space, lamp posts light the way to each of the quaint shops of Loafers Glory. Dulcimer music fills the air, along with the aroma of the Cinnamon Sticky Buns, fresh out of the oven, in the Sun Flour Bakery. Each of the shops has a unique personality and charm all its own that evokes a child-like feeling of a simpler time. From the Mercantile Shop to the Hen House, to the Lamplighter Shop, Cellar Shops, and Attic Treasures, each one features specially sought out merchandise, lovely gifts, and delightful things for your home. In the heart of it all is the Wild Flower Tea Room Cafe, where shoppers can enjoy a delicious lunch, including piping hot soups in a bread bowl, fresh unique salads, and our famous buttermilk pie for desert. Next Door to Loafers Glory is Auntie's House, with marvelous little shops of her own. Those who have had the pleasure of visiting Loafers Glory, and Auntie's House next door, know that long after their visit, something very special remains. That is what we fondly refer to as the "Loafers Glory Experience." As you walk through the front door of Loafers Glory, The Millstream Mercantile Shoppe is the first shop to greet you. Here you'll discover many special things: collectibles, books, old-fashioned candy sticks, greeting cards, jewelry and more. The Millstream Mercantile This is also where you'll find the special music CDs of our beloved dulcimers. This enchanting music unceasingly weaves the light-hearted mood and nostalgic essence that is such a part of the "Loafers Glory Experience." As the Crow Flies Just across the way from "The Millstream Mercantile," you'll find the "As the Crow Flies Shoppe." Standing guard above the door are the mother hens, and nearby the old rooster can be found. Don't worry, they're not real, but they will conjure up memories of Grandma's Farm in the country. Here you'll find country linens, curtains, placemats, table runners, dishes, market baskets, pictures, wreaths and more. If you want to bring a little Loafers Glory charm to your home, the offerings at the "Hen House" can do just that. Go ahead, you know you want to. It's amazing what a little trip down memory lane, and a little ice cream can do for your spirits.
