The space Gulf Shores Plantation is a family friendly gated resort right on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico with 24/7 security. Step outside the unit, walk past the large pool, and a boardwalk will take you over the dunes. You will be on the white sands of the beach in three minutes. This 1st floor, 785 SF privately owned condo with fun & modern furnishings and private balcony creates the perfect beach get-a-way. Our 2-bedroom 2 bath unit has a large kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you might need. The condo is equipped with hair dryers, iron/board, Keurig style coffee maker, and full-size refrigerator with ice maker. Furnishings include 3 flat screen TVs, DVD players, and a plush Lazyboy queen size sofa bed. WIFI and Cable TV with over 100 channels. The balcony has 4 relaxing chairs where you can kick your feet up and enjoy the breeze. The AC unit on the roof is new. All buildings on this resort have new roofs, are newly painted, and have new carpets in the hallways. DUE TO HURRICANE SALLY damage, all INDOOR amenities are under repair and will be closed until Oct. 1. This complex has an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and exercise room. The outdoor amenities are scheduled to open 1 July. There are multiple outdoor pools, including a heated pool. Additional outdoor amenities include shuffleboard, basketball, tennis, and horseshoes. There is an on-site Sassy Bass Grill which is very convenient for dining. You can golf at prestigious Kiva Dunes which is adjacent to Gulf Shores Plantation or at The Peninsula which is just down the road. Historic Ft. Morgan, is at the west end of Fort Morgan Road, and from there you can take a short ferry ride to Ft. Gaines and a visit the Sea Lab on Dauphin Island. Optional services during peak season include beach chair and umbrella rentals, parasailing, and jet ski rentals and more. Other things to note Gulf Shores Plantation is located west of Gulf Shores on Hwy 180. We are a family resort sandwiched between thousands of acres of National Wildlife refuge, and the beach is much less crowded here. It is an easy trip (about 15 minutes) into Gulf Shores for dining and entertainment, but you will not want to leave the Plantation. The Plantation has its own Sassy Bass Grill at the beach front side of the building just west of our condo. Kiva Dunes Golf Course also has a café.
