Several minutes walk to Boston's amazing Public Garden and Common, as well as the Charles River Esplanade. Beacon Hill is an urban neighborhood. Young people can easily meet others through membership in the young people's groups of the various civic organizations. Although on the small size (certainly not the smallest on Beacon Hill) it has great closet space, remodeled bathroom, stunning wood floor (I do require area rugs on traffic areas,) original cook stove that at a minimum is a good conversation piece, large windows and is quiet. The price is as low as it is because of the size, but as high as it is because of the location and being in a safe, well maintained building. It is on the first floor, which may be a pro or con for your personal taste. As in rear of building one hears little street traffic. Current tenant will sell bed, sofa, curtains for 300$. There is no rental fee, as it is showed by owner. Security deposit, equalling a month's rent, is held in an escrow account. No pets. No smoking. No undergrads. Quiet apartment with minimal street noise, and a quiet building. Parking is residential permit on street, or the Under the Common Garage 5 min. away. Heat and hot water included, tenant pays electric. The building has free WiFi, but please understand I cannot guarantee constant functioning. It is a shared account with others in building.
