Feel at home in this retro-inspired retreat, perched atop Eden Brae on the second floor, accessible by an external, dedicated stairway. This carefully restored apartment has been featured in Birmingham Magazine as one of the coolest rentals in town. Surrounded by macrame, earth tones, and hammock chairs, this apartment offers a relaxing haven. The primary bedroom features a queen-size bed, hanging area, shelves, and a TV, while the secondary bedroom has full-size built-in bunk beds. The primary bathroom is stocked with small-batch, organic toiletries and plush towels and includes a single vanity and free-standing shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes pots, pans, accessories, and a dining area with seating for four. Enjoy the French press coffee maker, burr grinder, electric kettle, locally roasted whole bean coffee, assorted teas, and cocoa. For entertainment, there's fast Wi-Fi and a Roku TV where you can use your personal accounts to stream. A shared laundry room includes a foosball table, washer and dryer with detergent, and an iron/ironing board. Outdoor areas are shared with other guests and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, including a gas barbecue, hammocks, fire pit, outdoor dining room with seating for 10, corn hole, covered front porch with sectional sofa, swings, native gardens, and fountains. Free parking is available on the street in front of the house. Eden Brae is on Cliff Road, between the popular neighborhoods of Forest Park and Highland Park. Just a few blocks away, you will find parks, restaurants, coffee, golf, and tennis! Highland Park Golf and Tennis Club is just a block away. Rushton Park, one of the three parks lining Highland Avenue, is just a couple of blocks away. On the other side of Highland Park Golf Course, you will find Forest Park, which is home to a couple of cute restaurants and shops. Eden Brae is just a couple of miles from most of Birmingham's most popular attractions: Railroad Park, the Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Avondale, Sloss Furnace, the Art Museum, Regions Field, Vulcan Park, and Downtown's Entertainment and Civil Rights Districts. Maximum occupancy is six guests. Dogs are allowed, and they should be included as pets in the guest count. Events and gatherings are not allowed in single apartments; to host an event, inquire about renting the whole house. Quiet hours are between 9 pm and 8 am. A $200/night penalty will be incurred for any violation of the no smoking or vaping policy. If you bring a pet without notifying us or in violation of this policy, you may be subject to a $250 penalty per pet, in addition to the applicable pet fees. Guests who do not adhere to the quiet hours policy may be asked to leave, without a refund, forfeiting any remaining nights on their reservation. Guests leaving after the check-out time of 11 AM may be subject to an additional fee of up to two times the average nightly fee paid by you to cover the inconvenience, plus all applicable guest fees, taxes, and any legal expenses incurred by us to make you leave. If stairs are an issue, this apartment is not a good fit.
