    What's special

Unique and rare opportunity to own and transform this blank canvas. Originally built in 1892 as the Swedish Mission Church and later (1912) transitioned into the Church of Christian Science. Architecturally the original facade captured the essence of the late Victorian-Eastlake style. Today the newer Victorian facade still has the feel of a bygone era with the 45 degree pitch roof, three section building with front facing gable, a rectangular second section and the semi-circle third section with pyramidal domed roof. Features of the property includes two large main rooms with 2 smaller rear rooms and a 1/2 bath. The roof was replaced in 2022. There is a large unfinished half basement with two entrance points allowing convenient access to the mechanicals and allows for plenty of storage space. Architectural features include double hung windows, Gothic in style with Lancet arched transoms. Original ceiling height was 20', but a drop ceiling was added in the 1960's reducing the height to 15'. A grooved casing outlines the windows and doorways and also encompass a carved roundel/rosette in the corners. There are 84 original east facing cast iron and plywood seats. Buyers should check with the zoning department as to end use opportunities for this property. As this property is corporate owned and is designated as a tax-exempt religious entity buyers should check with the city assessor as to future tax liability.
