Welcome to our home. The house was originally built as part of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony, one of the first Arts Colonies in America, and the house is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Homes. We gut renovated the house a few years ago and brought it back to its glory. Wide farmhouse flooring, all copper piping, handcrafted kitchen counters, custom tiling, Arts and Crafts wallpapering, we have invested years and years into making this the most beautiful home we could envision. The living room is gorgeous and expansive, something like 50 feet by 30 feet, with a massive original fireplace in the middle. The kitchen is custom-crafted wood with local marble, a miele dishwasher, a La Cornue stove, a walk-in pantry with a pantry sink, a century old Belgian counter and a sofa for cooking and chatting. There is a large private office with custom book-cases, and a playroom with ping pong and a projector tv. Upstairs there are five bedrooms with three full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a clawfoot tub overlooking the forest. Outside is a hand-built grill, a pizza oven, and a hot tub. The house has five bedrooms, plus an office with a sofa that converts into a bed, and one of the bedrooms has bunk beds. Sonos sound system, plus a record player with access to our records. We are on five acres and a short walk to the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony itself and the hiking trail to the top of Overlook Mountain. Two minutes from downtown Woodstock with its new restaurants including Sylvia's, Shindig, Taco Lab, Good Night, Mud Club, and the bustling Woodstock music scene that is The Colony, The Bearsville Theater and The Station, to name just some. Perfect for skiing (Hunter Mountain is only a half hour), groups, families, all are welcome. Utilities included. No smoking inside.
