Welcome to my listing, this house (don't know why Zillow is saying apartment) is not big, but that also means it doesn't have a big electric, gas or water bill either. It has radiant heating, but a simple electric heater is enough to keep the house warm in winter if you want to save money on gas. The stove and oven is also electric. In case of a black out, I also have a small butane stove. Comes with a full size fridge, washer and dryer, but a drying rack is also there if you want to make your clothes last longer. Groceries are only 0.2 miles away at county Yankee 2.4 miles from IGA 3.0 miles from Hannaford 3.0 miles from Walmart Downtown is only 1.2 miles away and includes: -Temple theatre ($6 for a movie) -Market pizza - Cary Library - Sadie's bakery - Bastions tavern -Key Bank -City hall -River front park -etc Ski resort is a 30-40 min drive in Mars Hill -BigRock mountain ($60 a day or $620 for a adult season pass) ATV/ Snowmobile trails are very close to the house and trails go through the whole state. Airport is an hour away in Presque isle. Can take the Bus there for $7 one way. Can also use the Bangor airport 1 hour and 47 mins away. Bus also available. My personal favorite place to eat and shoot pool is the Downunder sports pub 2.8 miles away from the house. Besides good food and pool tables upstairs, they have corn hole and indoor golf. I bought this house in hopes of living a frugal debt free life and could use the money I save on housing to use for traveling or any of my other hobbies. In other words I'm a fan of the F.I.R.E movement. Preferably looking for someone who works remote and likes the outdoors, wants chickens, likes gardening, etc. bonus points if you've hiked the Appalachian trail or any other long distance trails. I did a nice section of the PCT in 2020 before I got kicked off for wildfires. There is a beautiful 3 miles river walk downtown if you want to go for a walk and has chairs along the trail if you want to kick back and relax. Rent is $450 + utilities and most of the money will just got back into upgrading the house, so the house will only get better overtime. Upgrades include things like tile flooring, adding a 6ft clawfoot tub, wood cook stove, garage, garden, setup a chicken coop and green house in front amongst other things.
