One of a kind. 94+ acres of unrestricted land with waterfalls, wildlife, and native plants. With flowing water at 100s of gallons per minute from 3 streams, which feeds the drip irrigation system on the food forest orchard, you’re on your way to self sufficient living. Add solar, wind, or even a micro hydro power system, and you’re set. Fresh, flowing streams and a South-facing property are ideal. A 600’ deep well pulls the best tasting water you can drink. Miles of trails that are atv and utv ready make this a teenagers paradise. With 15’ waterfalls in view of the porch, you never want for peace. Tucked into the heart of the 94 acres, between two spring-fed streams, is a nearly 2000 sq ft log cabin from Blue Ridge Log Cabins. BRLC is located less than 30 mins away, so if you need something they’re close and always happy to help. The food forest orchard has peaches, pears, apples, plums, figs, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, native persimmons, and wildflowers. Other than the native species, I planted all of these myself, and they all have the stream fed drip irrigation running to them. Several paw paw patches as well as wild mulberry trees dot the property and are well marked. Deer, Turkey, black bear, gray squirrel, raccoon all live here. With the right management plan this could easily be a hunting getaway. No neighboring landowners hunt to my knowledge. A survey was done around 2014. It was discovered that the northwestern corner was encroached upon by a neighboring subdivision’s roadway. I worked out a deal for personal access, but there is an opportunity to sell a small portion to the neighbor for a full easement. That can be arranged. There are several other house sites as well as acres that could be used for a larger orchard or horse stable or paddock. We have a DHEC permit in hand to build a pond next to the house. We paved the driveway instead of building the pond but I believe the permit is still valid. The waterfalls on this private property are equal to or better than those in some of the national parks I’ve visited. Pictures really don’t do them justice. The rock formations offer the opportunity to serious rock climbers. I've only ever hiked the property, but rock climbing could be done with the right equipment and knowhow. This acreage is a prepper’s dream, and I hope it can bring another like-minded family years of enjoyment. Hang gliders fly by and land in a field next to the nearby HWY 11. There’s a lot of history in this area, which is known also as the Dark Corner. Moonshiners we’re prevalent in this area, and there is a lot of evidence on the property including old barrels with ax marks from the revenue agents. More pictures will be uploaded soon.
