Our fully-furnished personal home is available for rental from May 24- Oct.15, while we're away this summer and early fall. It's within a 10-minute walk of downtown, but looks into a restored forest and is surrounded by naturalistic plantings. It's close to Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter, with easy access to 240 and I-26. We're somewhat flexible as to duration and timing, but basically are interested in summer and early fall rental. Please note that our house is suited for a couple or single person, not for roommates needing two bedrooms, nor for a family with a child, as our second bedroom is set up as a study/TV room. The modern cottage (1650 sq. ft; built in 2005) is charming and eclectic. Located on a quiet street in historic Montford, our house is ideal for exploring Asheville and the surrounding area. There's a queen-size bed in the main bedroom, with the second bedroom currently a study area on the ground floor along with an adjoining small studio. The main floor, ground floor, and deck have open views to the restored natural forest in back. Raised beds in the front garden are available for growing vegetables and herbs. Our home isn't compatible for smoking or children, nor is it suitable for single renters looking for a roommate. Utilities, internet, and monthly cleaning are included in the rental price; in exchange, we request watering as needed and light garden maintenance.
