8/21/25 LITIGATION NOTICE: I recently discovered that all lots in Unit 7, including the lots NOT in the MCA, are subject to unusually restrictive CC&Rs. According to the MCA, shipping containers and living in an RV are not permitted. I will try to have the MCA dissolved and all CC&Rs declared invalid. Unfortunately, the 2022 flash floods took out my road after my neighbor built a solid concrete driveway with no culverts. The wash backfilled with sand, and flash floods now destroy the road. Mohave County wrote that they are not responsible for the road and that I can sue the neighbor for damages under Arizona law. I can't afford an attorney. Recently, two lots on Yucca Rd behind my property came on the market and if I had $18,000, I would buy those lots to bring a driveway to my house. Since I only get $306 Social Security, I am now selling my "forever" home because the buyer can pick up the two Yucca lots for excellent access from Yucca. The garage is 2 x 6' construction, and the living area is part of the garage, requiring less heating and cooling. We installed ducts and vents for a swamp cooler, but found that it was not necessary. Power poles are on Palo Christi and at the Yucca lots. While I enjoyed living off-grid, my solar system still requires running a generator for an hour or two most nights. In 2024, we repainted the elastomeric roof and two new 400 W panels on the flat roof are ready to be installed. Have inverter etc. to upgrade to 24 V, just need a slow day ... My home is in water haul, and in the garage are two 2500 g water tanks. Next to the walapini is a 1000 g water tank. It's about 1.5 miles to the water coop well. The septic is for a 4-bedroom house. Because I was not expecting the Yucca lots to come on the market I'm not at all ready to sell, and a friend just arrived to help with cleanup. I will add pics of the house and garage soon.
