    What's special

Zillow's AI is some photos for unknown reasons. I have videos on my phone of the property and the last 2 miles drive home (scenic) to share if you include a phone number. I use signal or google messages to text the videos to you. This 4 bedroom 2 bath Timber frame and real rock home on acreage is available beginning January 12th, 2026 . The home has been renovated and upgraded over 9 years with a large post and beam deck (2025) on the front and a screened in porch on the back. The recently remodeled kitchen with new stainless appliances, tile floors and granite counter tops with an island opens up to a vaulted timber ceiling living room with a wood stove at the heart of the room. Currently the home can seat 8 for large dinners with 6 at the table two at the granite counter top bar off of the kitchen island. Three large sliding glass doors and ample windows keep the mountain views and light in mind while you listen to the year round spring fed creek that runs right near the porch. Another large spring creek crosses a long fruit tree lined driveway with a high capacity bridge (maintenance provided) after entering at a pass-code protected electric gate. This keeps you out of view from the road while the national forest surrounds the property on three sides. Privacy is hard to come by these days! The bathrooms are recently renovated with tile floors, large garden tub with tile surround, marble counter tops and new front loading washer and dryer provided at no additional cost. The average electric utility will range from $90 to $145 due to a very mild climate (2500' elevation) and newer HVAC unit. The average high in the summer is just 82 degrees yet any more than a snow shower is uncommon but once or twice a year. The yard is mostly flat with gentle slopes and good drainage through out the property. The yard is easy to mow and maintain while the acreage around the home is taken care of by the owner with cuts ranging from 3-5 times a year. Established professional landscaping with rock borders adds a low maintenance bonus. The home is very energy efficient with a new metal roof coupled with large insulation underneath for quiet days in the rain. The garage is part of the heated and cooled basement with enough room for two cars but only one insulated garage door. The 4th Bedroom with window is downstairs just off of the garage. The other three bedrooms have high ceilings and larger closets with a walk-in closet attached to the bathroom off of the master bedroom. Hand crank Anderson windows keep the fresh air abundant in the spring and fall. This true Appalachian estate has hosted prominent individuals in town for high profile court Trials at the 6th District Federal Courthouse in Greeneville. Attorneys, their staff and clients have rented this home to be out of the lime light yet still be close enough to drive to town and have high speed internet while enjoying upscale amenities out of the view of the public eye and media. This part of the creek (More like a river) allows trout fishing directly from the property. Our waters are still hosting some of the last remaining Tennessee Native Brook Trout. Just up from the driveway are is a park with ponds- a little known 4 pond interconnected water system fed by the creek and stocked for trout fishing by Tennessee Wildlife Resources. Although we try not to advertise it, the creek has even better year round trout fishing. To the East are long range views of Camp Creek Bald and Greene Mountain. The Fall colors ARE NOT to be bragged about on mainstream websites as we have still managed to keep the sight seeing traffic of the public to a relative minimum. The paved road the property is on dead ends 6 miles from the driveway to a former ski resort that became National Forest 40+ years ago. It has 5000' foot views and the road to the top is somewhat maintained by the National Forest Service. The driveway is well maintained and easily handles any vehicle from cars to amazon vans and UPS/Fed Ex deliveries. The home comes included with a permanently installed starlink home internet system. It is very fast 400mbps and unlimited. You cannot tell its not fiber optic or cable internet and often our friends say its even faster than their internet services at their homes that is supposed to be faster. Two grocery stores, shopping, Golf courses, hardware, banking and government offices are just an 18 minutes drive away to the South side of Greeneville without any traffic lights and little traffic although our area is growing rapidly. Big Box stores like Lowes, Walmart and Corporate chain restaurants like Texas Roadhouse are 25 minutes. Hot Springs is a small mountain tourist destination with breweries, Taverns, outdoor tourism and an awesome steakhouse just 25 minutes away. There is always live music throughout the week and the best locally owned hardware store we've ever been to, Gentry Hardware. There are two "Country" General Stores a short drive away for that short trip to grab eggs and milk and 13 minutes will get you to a Dollar General Store that has just about all the essentials like when you run out of charcoal a few hours before the big game. While still in the country, Weaverville is 35 minutes, Asheville is 45 minutes, Johnson City 50 minutes, Dollywood/Gatlinburg 1 hour, and Knoxville 1:30. Within a 20 minutes radius there is countless hiking, free fire towers converted for public sightseeing and the ever secret Paint Creek corridor. Listed square ft includes the garage, shop, storage and downstairs finsihed area. All areas on heated and cooled by the HVAC, while the upstairs and downstairs has near identical wood stoves with a glass door as well. Rent is $1,890 per month for a two year lease. Rent will be due the first day of each month via automatic direct deposit. You must apply through the Zillow application process only. We use zillow for everything except the rent collection service due to fees charged to the renter. There is a minimum one month security deposit with good credit and you will be qualified based on W-2's, pay stubs or verifiable income or proof of funds. The owners of this home have a serious pet dander allergy therefore no pets will be allowed in or outside the home. Rental Rate may vary with credit. No Pets. Owner has severe pet dander allergy, no exceptions to this rule. Use Zillow to Apply, must apply before showing.
