Hello! We're seeking housemates to fill three rooms in this 4.5 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment here in Central Square (26 Inman Street), starting any time between now and January 1. It's going to be a lot of turnover all at once for our apartment! It would be excellent to find folks interested in continuing our tradition of enjoying housemate community. The Apartment: - Four bedrooms on two floors with two full bathrooms. - Two sunny balconies. - A common area with an open floor plan, containing the kitchen, living room, and dining space. - An extra mini-bedroom for guests, the 0.5 bedroom - Updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances (electric stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher). - Modern coin laundry located in the basement. - A parking spot for guests (or potentially for you to rent) - Sadly, the building doesn't allow pets The Location: - Central Square is 2 blocks away - 4-minute walk to the Red Line stop and 9-minute walk to Inman Square - Easy walking distance to BlueBikes (1 minute), Whole Foods (2 minutes), Target (5 minutes), shops/restaurants - 15-20 minute walk to Harvard or MIT Two rooms are available, with the rents listed below. Rent would be somewhat higher for a couple. Room #3: - $997/month rent - Includes a mirrored closet - Furniture and AC included for free by the previous housemate Room #2: - $1381/month rent - Spacious. The largest bedroom in the apartment. Potentially well-suited to a couple - Has its own balcony (shared only with the guest bedroom) - Lots of natural light - Wall-mounted AC - Two closets - Bed and chair $200, desk and dresser included for free Room #1: - $997/month rent Parking: The apartment also has an off-street parking spot that you could rent for an additional $200/month. Otherwise, it serves as a shared spot where our guests can park. Rent Details: - Electricity + Internet usually comes to about $50/person per month. - Heat is included for free. - We each pay about $63/month for a cleaner who cleans the common spaces/bathrooms biweekly - First month rent, last month rent, and security deposit are required Me (the one housemate staying): - A mechanical engineer from NYC in my 30's, working remotely for a non-profit. - Big fan of walking/biking around the city, ice skating in the winter, and tinkering with DIY projects. - I love to kayak in the Charles! I think it's especially beautiful at sunset and after dark. I keep 5 portable kayaks just so I can bring friends along on group outings. We've had some fun housemate paddles, and will hopefully continue that next summer. You: - Any gender identity - International visitors and locals are both welcome! - Preferably willing to commit for a stay of at least 6 months, but shorter stays would also be considered. Includes a private storage room large enough for three multi-tier shelving units and several bicycles. One outdoor dedicated parking space is included. Convenient location within walking distance to the subway, supermarkets, and nearby universities. The apartment has plenty of natural sunlight and includes heating and hot water. Coin-operated laundry machines are available on the ground floor. The building is professionally managed, secure, and requires an access code to enter. It is located on a quiet one-way street with convenient transportation access. The unit can be rented as a whole or shared by roommates. . No smoking allowed and no furnitures in the balconies
