The south entrance of Egan's Creek Greenway is only a 3-minute walk away and is an excellent spot to bike and spot marsh wildlife. This greenway goes for miles up the spine of the island until it reaches Pirate's Playground and the Atlantic Recreation Center, just across from the entrance to Fort Clinch State Park. Fishing is allowed in the small lake at Amelia Landings but it is only catch and release. The Nassau County Shore Protection Project is scheduled to start in late spring 2025 and will temporarily impact this property's beachfront. The 90-day project is expected to begin in May or June and will span E. 4th Street, north of Main Beach Park, to south of Seaside Park on Sadler Road. It will require shore piping and an extractor, and the use of this equipment could cause noise disturbances. The project is not anticipated to near this property's closest beachfront, Seaside Park, until late July or even early August.
