    In the late 1800s, the Aptos Hotel was built by the legendary founder of C&H Sugar, Claus Spreckels and was as elegant a hotel as you could find in its era. The hotel additionally boasted gorgeous panoramic ocean view honeymoon cottages above the surf line, but within easy walking distance of the ocean. 229 Wixon is believed to be one of the original cottages, built with Spanish charm, character, and filled with love.
