    This historical home in downtown Newburgh was original built by Corneal McCormick who operated a grocery on Water Street and was also the town Violin maker. Last updated about 17 years ago this home features spacious rooms and lots of charm. Located on the corner of Gray and State Streets just a few steps from the riverfront shops, restaurants and walking trails. Rumor has it that this home was once a Bed & Breakfast. There are Wood floors on both levels with newer Oak hardwood flooring on the main level and the original refinished Poplar wood floors on the second level. The stairway in the entry is believed to be original and they were last refinished roughly 17 years ago. The main level offers an updated Kitchen with a Butlers Pantry a Formal Living room & Dining room as well as a bedroom/family room plus a full bath. The Laundry was relocated to one of the upstairs bathrooms of which there are 2 on the second floor and both have tile flooring. A lot of the window glass in the home is original and the glass in the front door was custom made to a Frank Lloyd Wright design many years ago. The Kitchen cabinets have dove tailed joints on the drawers and solid surface "Corian" counters. The kitchen sink has a disposal and the Refrigerator, Gas Range/Oven and dishwasher are all stainless steel. The good news is that with a little money and hard work this home could be magnificent once again and would most likely be worth double the current asking price.
