I prefer a non smoker, but may consider a smoker who only smokes outside. This apt. is on the 2nd fl. of my older home. I live on the 1st fl. with my wife. I usually rent on automatically renewable, month-to-month leases, and had renters stay for years on them. A month to month lease allows tenant or landlord to give each other only 30 days notice of terminating the lease, so this allows tenant to move with only 1 month notice, instead of having to break a longer term lease. I have a studio apt. in the basement, and the single tenant there, has been with us 5+ years on a month-to-month lease! But, I'm not interested in short term stays. We are only 1 block from I-294, & I-90 & The Kennedy Expy; We're on several Pace bus routes; We're only 8 blks. away from the blue line cta train, and a bus at the corner will take you there, or the several blocks in the other direction, to the Metra. And ... we're just a 20 min. drive to O'Hare Airport! I'm a water expert and have purified, filtered water running thru the whole house: for drinking, cooking, and showering! So, you won't have to buy any more bottled water to drink either! Because you can drink this straight from the faucet. And, this purified water for your shower, with all the chlorine removed, will make your skin and hair feel better than it ever has! Affordability TIP: Keep your rent within 33% - 40% of your gross household income. Ideal income for this property with $950 rent is at least $555 take-home weekly, $2375 monthly, or $28,500 ANNUALLY, if paying 40% of your take home pay for rent & util's.
