Cherokee is an early Spanish house built in the 1790's, doubled in size in the 1820's, but given it extraordinary Greek Revival character by Frederick Stanton in 1845. The faux marble block exterior and the entire interior have been recently restored to period. It is in mint condition, a favorite on both the Spring and Fall Pilgrimages, and amazingly private and secluded for a house right in town.
