Dear potential tenant, Upon inspecting the apartment it needs to be renovated with a new bathroom, kitchen , carpet, interior doors and fresh paint. This construction will take some time, so the apartment is not ready. Once renovated It will be much nicer, and the owner may want to live there herself. If she rents it out the price will be set to comparable places in the area. A more realistic price for a nice, quiet fully renovated apartment by the beach will be between $2100 and $2300 per month. Let me know if you are still interested. And with new paint and carpet if you have a pet you would have to work something out with the owner to offset any damage the pet may do.
