A bright and beautiful newly remodeled second story cottage (600 sq. ft.) surrounded by a quaint garden nestled underneath a pair of towering redwood trees. The redwood trees are a must see to believe!! Centrally located in the heart of the Gourmet Ghetto (Nosh neighborhood), the cottage is walkable to shopping, restaurants; transit friendly walkable to Cal Berkeley campus, Bart or AC transit bus stop is a 2min walk to the end of the block. There is a complete kitchen with everything you will need to prepare meals and enjoy the fruit of this food centric neighborhood call the Gourmet Ghetto (Nosh). The cottage can be rented for a 14 days minimum stay, but preferably a month to month renter, non-smoking. It could a place for visiting family, visiting professor or a traveling healthcare professional. The private second story cottage is 13 steps up a flight of stairs where you would have view of the garden below, maximum natural light from windows on 3 sides, easy to open window for a fresh air breeze. We love to cook so have made a point to make sure our rental has everything you might need. You will receive a comfortable rest on a queen size Sealy Posturepedic mattress with crisp linens. The cottage has been recently remodeled to a bright cheerful space. It has beautiful hardwood floors, everything new kitchen with dishwasher, a shower/bath with superb water pressure, fast wifi. There isn't a laundry machine in the unit. There are 2 dry cleaners (wash & fold) and laundromat within a 5-7 minute walk from the cottage. Linens and towels are included with the rental and will be exchanged bi-weekly, clean for dirty. There is a housecleaner that comes for cleaning the cottage 2 times per month, a $300 monthly cleaning charge will be added to the monthly rent for cleaning and linen change. All utilities and Wifi are included in the rent. Underneath the cottage is our garage on one half and my fine art painting studio on the other is my husband woodworking shop. We live in the house at the front of the lot. We use the backyard occasionally. I like to tend the garden. There are 3 pets (1 goldendoodle dog and 2 cats) on the property. You might see them coming in and out of the back door of the main house. The pets aren't allowed in the cottage this is a pet free rental. Location & transit This cottage has it all, located in the heart of the Gourmet ghetto (Nosh). It is VERY centrally located walkable to California Berkeley campus, 14 mins, Bart to San Francisco,12 mins, (downtown or north station), groceries store, 7 mins, The famous Cheeseboard and Chez Panisse 7mins, wonderful neighborhood walk to the Berkeley rose garden 20mins, The Greek theater 25mins, downtown Berkeley and farmer's neighbor farmers markets on Thursday and Saturday 12 mins. Guest accessibility To access the private cottage, you would walk down the driveway on the right side of the main house, through the wooden gate into the garden to the cottage at the end of the lot. The cottage doesn't come with driveway parking. There is street parking out front, some metered and some not. Check the street signs. Quiet hours 11pm to 8am. Month to month with to option to stay longer
