ou have decided that it is time to move into a new house. Maybe you are downsizing since the kids have left the nest, or maybe you are newly starting out and looking for a new home. Either way, this just might be the perfect home for you. Close your eyes and picture this with me. You drive up to the gated community of Pasatiempo and enter the security code at the gate. You think to yourself that this could be your new neighborhood, and you begin to smile. As you drive along the tree-lined streets; you smile and give a nod of greeting to a couple walking their dog. Soon you find the correct house and park in the driveway. You stay in the car for a moment and admire the two car garage and the 1,792 square foot home that is nestled on a half-acre of beautifully landscaped property. You also notice that it is only one story - perfect, no stairs! You are now out of the car and smiling as you shake hands with Paul, your realtor. He seems as excited to show you this house as you are to see it. You both walk to the front door. You step into the living room and are amazed at how open and bright the room is. Paul is telling you that the house has been renovated and the windows are new Milgard windows, and the French doors are by Andersen - both of which are known for their beauty while still being energy efficient. You are trying to listen to Paul, you really are, but you notice the refinished oak floors that seamlessly run from the living room into the family room, and then continue into the dining room and kitchen. Then you spot the new rock fireplace and gasp - you could own a home with a fireplace! You think you are starting to fall in love with this house. You make your way into the kitchen and are once again speechless. You see the natural wood cabinets and the island, they are simply stunning. Paul is next to you explaining that they are made of mahogany from Honduras and the counter tops are granite. You walk around the kitchen, reverently touching the cabinets and counter tops. You notice the stainless steel appliances and can't believe that you really could be living here and preparing meals in this luxurious kitchen! Paul leads you down the hallway and shows you the two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You step into the first bathroom and just stop... it's large, beautiful, and has a vanity made from the same Honduran wood as in the kitchen. Are you kidding me?! The next bathroom is just as breathtaking and has an incredible vanity made from teak wood. He has stopped talking and is now letting you bask in your own private thoughts. You can picture yourself here. Paul softly brings you back to the present by telling you the plans for the master suite. Yep, you are definitely in love with this house. The two of you walk outside to admire the large (and I do mean large) yard. It is big enough to put in a pool, or perhaps build an addition onto the house - because you are thinking of all the family and loved ones' laughter that could fill your new home. He points out the Santa Rosa plum trees, apricot trees, peach trees and apple trees. There is even a garden area. You smile and see yourself digging in the cool, black dirt - tending to your vegetables, or your flowers, or both. Paul guides your attention back towards the house and is explaining the new Presidential roof that normally lasts roughly 50 years. Sweet, no need to replace the roof for a long, long time. You silently thank the previous owners for having such wonderful taste. Paul nonchalantly points out the hot tub, pretending that it isn't spectacular. It takes you a moment to realize you can have a home that includes: 1,792 square feet 2 bedrooms and 2 gorgeous bathrooms Plans for a master suite Refinished oak hardwood floors A chef's dream kitchen A fire place And a hot tub This is your dream. As you and Paul leave the house, he explains that the Pasatiempo community is just a short drive to the beach and boardwa
