    Saratoga Lake Sailing Club Resident Caretaker The Saratoga Lake Sailing Club (SLSC) operates a year-round recreational facility for its' members whose primary purpose is to provide sailing opportunities for members and guests. The house and grounds are open year-round. A Resident Caretaker is needed to assist with club operations. This person needs to be independent, self-motivated, a problem-solver, ethical, responsible, friendly and a role-model to members and guests. Although the Caretaker has many responsibilities, club members using the house and grounds are expected to clean up after themselves. In maintaining the interior of the club, the Caretaker's duties will include cleaning all the areas in the main house, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, washing windows, vacuuming, mopping floors, laundering club tablecloths and dishtowels, washing and sweeping the porch, the ramps and outside steps, removing and recycling trash. The Caretaker will be in direct communication with the Flag Lieutenant(s) House. Outside responsibilities will include mowing, trimming shrubs, sweeping walks, emptying outside trash cans, keeping the waterfront and the children's play area clean and assuring that all buildings are secure. The Caretaker will be in direct communication with the Flag Lieutenant Grounds for all outside responsibilities. Club Officers must be alerted should there be any damage inside or out. Performing the above duties would result in an average of 20 hours per week spread over the year. Summer hours may require significantly more than 20 hours some weeks. Time flexibility may be necessary to prepare the club grounds and house for functions. The Caretaker will become familiar with the club membership, policies and procedures and conduct him/herself in a pleasant and professional manner. There are NO wages associated with this position. SLSC will provide an apartment attached to the clubhouse which consists of a glassed-in porch, kitchen, living room, bathroom, 3 bedrooms and a washer/dryer. The club will also provide heat, water, gas, electricity, internet and cable TV. The Caretaker will be expected to reside full-time in the apartment. No other benefits will be offered. Absolutely NO pets are allowed on club property. Candidates will be subjected to background checks. SLSC will provide an apartment attached to the clubhouse which consists of a glassed-in porch, kitchen, living room, bathroom, 3 bedrooms and a washer/dryer. The club will also provide heat, water, gas, electricity, internet and cable TV.
