My room is a available in a lovely 3 bed / 3 bath Bloomingdale row house. Major highlights include: a truly nice and updated kitchen; 3 different skylights across the house (our plants are very happy); a massive backyard space that's wonderful for summer grilling & year-round hosting; and a small pond with actual Koi! - The room: Two bedrooms are located upstairs (this is where you'd be) and the third is in the basement. You'd have a detached full bathroom down the hall. The two other rooms have private en suite bathrooms, so the detached full bathroom would be yours. - The rent: Rent for the room is $1450 + utilities (we pay wifi, gas, and electric, ~140 per month) - The neighborhood: Stronghold is north of Eckington & Bloomingdale, and west of Brookland. The house is off North Capital on a very quiet one-way block on Franklin St NE. The nearest grocery store (Trader Joe's in Brookland) is about a 15 minute walk. Restaurants & bars in Bloomingdale are also ~ 10 minutes by foot. Street parking is easy. - The housemates: You'd be sharing the house with two good friends, Natalie and Omar (both in their 30s) and Cricket, Natalie's lovely dog. The house is a nice combo of social when you want it; peaceful when you don't. We each live busy, independent lives, but enjoy co-hosting dinners and parties together when we can, and are intentional about our shared space! Lease takeover until February 28th, with possibility of renewing.
