We bought this house when it was in rough shape as a project home because we loved the quirkyness and "cabin in the woods" feel plus the land is beautiful! We  have been working on the remodel as we could afford it and have done most of the structural items.  We had new metal roofs installed on all of the buildings last year. The electrical and plumbing are upgraded/ in good condition and the home seems well insulated.  We gutted the kitchen and put in new cabinets and lights and there's a walk in pantry.  The property is  very private and  peaceful and feels remote even though its only 15 miles from Aiken. There are beautiful trees, bushes and flowers everywhere, and we had the fenced areas cleaned of underbrush for our horses making it seem like a park.  The driveway is circular for pulling trailers through and the road and drive are sand so great for riding. It's close to the state park and an easy trailer ride to lots of trails. Projects will be ongoing until it sells (and price might change to reflect that). So if you don't mind a few  projects or want to make a house your own, this could be the perfect place for you!  We are selling AS IS since it definitely needs more work. We really love it but life has other plans for us.
