    What's special

    Huge home on an acre and a half. The backyard is private, barely visible from the road or the neighbors. The curved front porch is perfect for entertaining or relaxing in the evenings. The interior needs some work, but it’s full of potential. The kitchen was remodeled fall of 2022, with new tile, cabinets, counters, lighting and Frigidaire black stainless appliances installed. There is a laundry room off the kitchen, separated by an original pocket door. The rest of the downstairs is versatile. Previously, the largest room, off the kitchen, was used as the dining room. Another room was used as a library, containing a newly installed Country Hearth wood stove and newly installed half bath. The front room was used as the living room. And a final room, with a private entrance from the front porch, could be used as a home office, workshop, storefront, short term room rental, or 6th bedroom. The kitchen, dining room and library have had new light fixtures installed and the kitchen and dining room have had new electric run. Upstairs boasts 5 large bedrooms with ample closet and storage space. Most of the bedrooms have new ceiling fans and two have had new electric outlets and switches installed. The upstairs hallway is a massive 7’x32’. The full bath needs a remodel. The tile is in good shape, the toilet is new, and there is a ton of storage, but the shower and sink, while functional, could use replaced. Currently the house is heated with the wood stove. There is a wood burning furnace in the basement which is functional, along with an oil burner that needs to be repaired or replaced. Some of the plumbing has been replaced with pex. The water heater was rebuilt around November of 2022 and works well. The well pump and pressure tank were also replaced November 2022. There are two detached garages and a chicken coop out back. Many projects have been started. Unfortunately, due to recent events, the family is forced to sell. The house will not meet qualifications for USDA, FHA, and other government loans. It may qualify for a conventional mortgage loan, but the sellers would prefer a cash sale and are extremely motivated. The house is currently vacant and can be shown easily. Major issues would be the need to update the heating system, and a broken pipe going to the upstairs bathroom. Most everything else is minor or cosmetic.
