Kitchen is compact but fully functional, with an electric water heater, propane stove and oven, and lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. Two bedrooms, with one on the main floor that has a small closet and a second bedroom/loft. Dine in the eat-in kitchen or eat on the deck overlooking the forest. Bathroom is bright with a toilet and claw-foot tub with shower. Set up is like the other forest service cabins. Home is on the electric grid, with a water tank to supply fresh water, sewage holding tank, and propane fuel. Security system installed. Land lease means that the Forest Service owns the land on which the cabin sits (Federal Government), but the area around the cabin makes it feel equivalent to having a three-or four-acre property in the woods. The best buy in Big Bear. A great way to avoid the heat of the summer as Big Bear Lake averages only 85 degrees in July and August with clean air and friendly folks.
