This beautiful custom built home with mature trees is one of the rare Center Hall Colonial homes in the Westerville subdivisions along Hempstead and Sunbury Road mostly built in the 1980s. This non-smoker home is well-maintained and professionally decorated and landscaped. On the main floor is the open kitchen with bay window dinette, dining room, laundry/mud room with a separate entrance (currently an office), half bath, family room with fireplace, living room, and center hall entranceway, and a large screened-in carpeted sunroom with 2 brick patios. In 2003, the family room (a surround sound system was installed professionally) and kitchen were remodeled with corian countertop, all carpet was replaced, roofing replaced, and stucco replaced the vinyl siding. The kitchen, dining room, family room, and living room all have crown molding. The second floor has 4 bedrooms each with a Hunter ceiling fan with light and remote. The master bedroom has a master bath and walk-in closet. There is also a full bath (with closet) on the second floor, a hall linen closet, and a whole-house attic fan with timer, and attic. The 8-course full basement is partially finished with a den, study area, and walk-in closet. It is plumbed for a third full bathroom. The back half of the basement has large unfinished carpeted recreation room with 107 square feet of heavy duty storage shelves, a utility room with hookups for a washer and dryer and utility tub, and a workshop with a heavy duty L-shaped workbench. There is a glass block window in the workshop. There is a programmable Honeywell climate control for the house and light timers for outside lights. Most rooms have dimmer switches. The closet shelving has been improved throughout the house to increase efficiency and maximum use. This home has a HUGE side yard which is great for playing sports or entertaining and is a key differentiator in this neighborhood. Neighborhood Description You will love Woodglen neighborhood! We love many things about this neighborhood but we what initially noticed is how quiet it is here at night. No traffic noises, just the sound of the crickets. We have our bedroom windows open at every opportunity to enjoy the fresh air. There is a wide range of people who live here. The majority are college degreed and in professional jobs although we have laborers as well. Mostly there are couples and families (because of the size of these homes). We have retirees, school aged and young families. People are very friendly and look out for each other. You will find people often outside in lawn chairs in the warmer weather talking with each other. Many people who live here are also pet owners who walk their dogs but all dogs are leashed and people pick up after their pets. We have never had an issue with barking dogs not being dealt with. You will discover that this is not a neighborhood where people pull in to their garages at the end of the day and close the door. The neighbor who used to live across the street moved over to the 43082 area into a bigger home and they absolutely grieved the loss of this neighborhood because there was no one was around for their children to play with. They did not know how special Woodglen was until they left. The yearly block parties and Christmas gatherings in people's homes are well attended. We have an active neighborhood civic association and block watch program. Our annual fee is $35 which covers the costs of maintaining the two entranceways and various activities. We even have a yahoo group if you want to be kept abreast of happenings or alerts. These neighbors keep their lawns and homes immaculate. We have always been impressed with people spending money to update and renovate their homes, replace shingles/ roofing, and take care of their yards. I believe this h
