Brand new remodeled basement apartment behind a pretty house. Everything is new: paint, bathroom fixtures, outlets, appliances, most windows, front door, expanded patio deck, etc.
If you're over 5'8" don't apply. The ceiling is only 6'9". Some duct work is only 6'1". I'm 5'8" and feel very comfortable in it.
There is natural light from windows in the entrance, both bedrooms (and one closet) and the bathroom. The bedroom windows have egress. But there's not much direct sunlight.
It won't be ready until April 1st. It needs window coverings, trim pieces, something to go around the exposed forced air heating system, which is for upstairs. The heating system in this space is hot water floor boards. It's a very nice heat that doesn't dry out the air.
There is a tight parking spot for this apartment in the alley at the back of the yard. All the parking in the front driveway is for the upstairs tenants. In the summer street parking is available on the street in front of the house.
All three floors share the back covered patio, back yard, and storage in the non-functioning garage.
Tenant is responsible for snow shoveling their own parking space, and the path to the parking space from their door.
Landlord pays electric, gas, heat, water, internet, lawn care, garbage, etc. Please factor these savings into your affordable rent calculation, as tenant is not expected to pay these expenses on top of their rent.
Tenant pays the deposit and prorated first month's rent on the date the lease is signed. Accept rent payments via Venmo or Zelle.
Landlord prefers 1-year leases to begin; negotiable. Lease becomes month-to-month after one year.
