Shady Acres is a cozy, age 55-plus RV community located in the historic Western city of Yuma. Some manufactured home rentals are also available. Yuma offers pleasant desert warmth all year round, along with cooling effects from the Colorado River. The community offers a peaceful, tranquil setting, with colorful foliage, blooming shrubs, and tall trees scattered throughout the grounds. The pull-through RV spaces provide full hookups (30 and 50 amps) and paved patios. Daily, weekly, and monthly rentals are available. Amenities include basic cable, a recreation hall, shower facilities, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, a dog walk, and washer and dryer facilities with clothes lines. About Yuma: Situated in the southwest corner of Arizona on the Colorado River, historic Yuma got its start as a river crossing and a U.S. Army fort. Today the city is the location of the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the Yuma Proving Grounds, an installation that tests new Army equipment. Agribusiness and the trucking industry are also major employers. Many natural desert areas are within a few hour's drive in both Arizona and California.
